Our Projects

We are determined to make a difference to the lives of those afflicted by poverty and suffering.

Orphan Care

Today one child is orphaned every 22 seconds in the world. The life of an orphan in Africa can be extremely hard, living in one of the poorest regions in the world, with 40% of its Sub-Saharan population living in absolute poverty. African orphans suffer from HIV/AIDS, high poverty rates, water and sanitation shortages.

Orphan sponsorship with IHelp Global provides for these children and gives them access to some of the basic but essentials of life such as food, clothing, shelter and even education. Our orphan sponsorship campaign strives to improve the livelihood of orphan children who have lost the most important thing in their lives; their parents. They can only depend on people like you!

Water & Sanitation

Lack of clean water is one of the biggest challenges that face areas suffering from poverty, famine or drought. Yet, water is fundamental to life and even today millions of people, particularly those living in Africa, have little to no access to it.

Water is an all-purpose element that is used for a variety of things, from cooking to cleaning. Not having a steady supply of water puts entire villages in a severely dire situation.

Environmental Sustainability

It is one of, if not the largest threat to our earth today and Africa is one of the most vulnerable continents to climate change.

This situation is further worsened by its poor state of economic development and low adaptive capacity. Alongside extreme poverty it faces frequent natural disasters such as droughts and floods. The people of Africa heavily depend on agriculture, rainfall and the help of people like you.

Livelihood and Economic Empowerment

In a region where there is a lack of pretty much every necessity in life including water, health and education, it becomes very difficult for residents to get a chance to work and provide for their families. This usually leads into future generations falling into the same cycle of poverty, a horrible series of events that affect most of the African population.

IHelp Global offers income generating projects to beneficiaries through livelihood and economic empowerment. The idea is to invest in people, train them and empower them to generate their own livelihood. This provides them with skills, sustainable financial stability and eventually breaks them out of the cycle of poverty.

Children’s Eco Village

To go through childhood without the protection and care of a parent or guardian is one of the most unimaginable and traumatic experiences a child can be subjected to. There are 53 million children living without parents in Sub‑Saharan Africa.

In Tanzania, there are 3.1 million orphans. Of these, 1.2 million have been orphaned by Aids (source: Unicef
2012).

The Children’s Eco Village is located in the Mkurunga district, south of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania and is a ground-breaking initiative which began in March 2012 to help tackle this issue and make a lasting positive impact of the lives for some of these children.
